Bookies Offering Odds on 2018 Triple Crown and Justify Sees His TC Price Slashed to Near Even

Most bookies offering odds on a Triple Crown in 2018 had the price set at around 8/1 pre-Kentucky Derby.

After witnessing the favorite Justify triumphing in the slop this past Saturday, odds have shortened all the way down to -140 across the board.

Odds can be customized at any number of the Pay Per Head sites out there based on an individual agent or bookie's needs.

Typically we would see the odds shorten to around half the original price or 4/1, however, this year's Preakness Stakes is coming up thin.  As of Friday May 11, only Bravazo was a definite entry among the 19 runners Justify defeated in the Kentucky Derby.

Offering the Triple Crown betting option is one way of reducing the exposure for bookmakers, with the assumption that Justify peters out by the Belmont Stakes and fresh blood enters the race.

Justify won last Saturday's Kentucky Derby by 2½-lengths and became the first Derby entry in 136 years to score victory after not racing as a 2-year-old.
