US-based horse wagering websites will not accept bets from those residing in New Jersey.  International horse betting sites the likes of BetOnline still do allow New Jersey residents, while offering up to 7 percent in weekly rebates.

Websites reluctance to accept bets from the state of New Jersey is different from most prohibited state rationales in that NJ does have race tracks, most notably Monmouth Park.  States like South Carolina, Georgia and Utah do not have horse racing tracks and, as such, US-based websites like TVG and TwinSpires will not accept bets from these states.

New Jersey is also an interesting test case as one of only three that have legalized online poker and casino games (the other two being Nevada and Delaware, poker only).  Delaware also offers limited sports betting with restrictions on single game events such as the Super Bowl.
