Cyclone Mischief will now enter the Kentucky Derby field starting from the No. 20 post position after it was announced Practical Move has been scratched due to a fever.

Cyclone Mischief was coming in at 30-1 odds.

The 3 year old colt has raced from 2022 to 2023. He was sired by Into Mischief out of the Bernardini mare Areyoucominghere and trained by Dale Romans.

Cyclone Mischief finished 3rd in his last two starts, including the Florida Derby and Fountain of Youth.  He had previously finished 7th in two graded horse races.

Disarm will now start from the No. 10 post position, which has produced more Derby winners than any other spot.

Joel Rosario is listed aboard both Cyclone Mischief and Disarm, but has first preference aboard the latter colt for trainer Steve Asmussen.

Lord Miles was also scratched Thursday afternoon but will not affect the post positions too dramatically as he was starting from the No. 18 spot.

All horses trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., Lord Miles included, would be scratched as a result of two of his horses dying in recent days.
