Flameaway odds to win the 2018 Kentucky Derby were at 35-1. Odds were previously at 33-1.

Super Saver won from here in 2010 and there have been five winners in the history of the Kentucky Derby. Not the best starting spot, not the worst.
THE GOOD
He has five career victories, the most of any horse in the field, and has won on synthetic, turf and dirt surfaces.
"What’s interesting about Flameaway is if you look at his family you would think that he would have tendencies to be a little on the hyper side, but he’s far from it,” trainer Mark Casse . “He doesn’t really give a hoot about anything, which is not a bad thing to have on Saturday.”
We are finding some experts predicting a win by Flameaway. At these odds, he does have value to be sure.
THE BAD
Canadian-breds don’t have a stellar history in the Derby, going 0 for 11 since 1966. Victory Gallop was the best among them, finishing second in 1998.
