You can bet on whether a horse will finish among the top 3 at this year’s Kentucky Derby with lower payout odds but a better likelihood of winning your bet.

Because the favorites have such long odds in 2017, the payout potential for any one of them to finish within the top three spots were akin to last year’s regular odds of winning.
