Earlier in the week rain chances were set at 100 percent but dropped slightly to 70 percent on Wednesday.  By Thursday afternoon, just 48 hours before the start of the big race, the chance of rain had shot back up to 90 percent.

The horse most likely to benefit would be Exaggerator, who on Thursday afternoon was at 3-1 odds.

He galloped to an impressive win in the slop at the Santa Anita Derby.
