Renegade pays 4-1 odds to win this year's Kentucky Derby
Three horses that have won the Arkansas Derby have gone on to win the Kentucky Dery
The No. 1 post position in the Kentucky Derby is among the most dreaded starting spots and that one belongs to Renegade this year. Renegade is listed at 4-1 odds for a payout position of $400 for every $100 bet.
In his last two races, Renegade has won the Arkansas Derby (G1) and Sam F. Davis (LS).
Three horses have won the Arkansas Derby and then gone on to win the Kentucky Derby:
- Sunny’s Halo (1983)
- Smarty Jones (2004)
- American Pharoah (2015)
Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. has won a single Kentucky Derby, in 2022 with Mo Donegal.
