Tuesday’s 2017 Kentucky Derby Odds
Gambling911.com is monitoring the 2017 Kentucky Derby odds ahead of Wednesday morning’s all-important post position draw.
These were the odds heading into Tuesday afternoon with payout potentials typically greater by locking in early. There are of course disadvantages to betting early on such as a particular horse being scratched or changing weather forecasts that favor a particular competitor. These odds WILL change as we approach post time Saturday. Some of the prices will see dramatic fluctuations and a number of the horses listed below will not be appearing in this year’s Kentucky Derby after the draw takes place.
There has been one constant the days leading up to the post position draw, that being the three co-favorites remaining within the 5-1 to 6-1 odds range. Irish War Cry, Always Dreaming and Classic Empire featured prices of +525 (Classic Empire) to +575 (Irish War Cry). The payouts would be $52.50 to $57.50 on a $10 bet.
We touched on weather and, as of Tuesday afternoon, there was still a 70 percent chance of rain in the forecast that favors mudders the likes of McCraken at early 8-1 odds.
