Nyquist won the Kentucky Derby Saturday and remains undefeated in eight starts, the perfect candidate to deliver a second consecutive Triple Crown.

The fine folks at Gambling911.com-endorsed BetOnline believe it won’t happen however, and they are offering a payout of $22 for every $10 bet or $220 for every $100 bet.

"We got a beautiful trip from the start to the end," jockey Mario Gutierrez said after the 1 ¼ lengths victory.

Nyquist paid out 3-1 odds at the Derby.  He opened as a 4-5 favorite to win the upcoming Preakness Stakes.

“This is such a special horse," trainer Doug O'Neill said. "You can see it in his eye on a daily basis and he's such a professional. Any human sport, he'd be the top-notch athlete. He's just first class."

O’Neill added: ”You just felt there was no way you could be nervous because you just felt like you were going in the gym with Kobe Bryant. You just knew he was going to figure out a way to pull it out at the end and he did. Mario gets a lot of credit, too. What a ride, what a ride."

The Kentucky Derby kicked off what promises to be a remarkable betting period for Gambling911.com readers.  The Triple Crown season – which this year kicked off with the Derby on May 7 and culminates with the Belmont Stakes June 11.  In between those two races is the Preakness Stakes.  While the Belmont Stakes can stand on its own as a major draw, wins by one horse at both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness will result in much higher interest from the gambling public.
