The Indiana Pacers are red hot of late as they come into their game in Denver having won nine of their last ten.  With this in mind, it may seem crazy that the Pacers are a +10.5 underdog in this one.

Denver does have Indiana’s number.  They’ve beaten them in seven of the last nine meetings.  Only two of those wins were by more than the current spread (a third victory was by 10 points).  The reigning champion Nuggets are 7-3 over their last ten games and 16-4 at home.

It’s not just that the Pacers won nine of their last ten that’s impressive.  Over their last eight victories, five were wins by double digits.  The one loss was to Boston and the one close win by two points was also to the Celtics.  Another of the wins that was not by double digits over this time happened on the road against another top team, the Milwaukee Bucks.  Indiana beat Washington over this span by eight points.

The Denver game is the second of a grueling five game road swing that started with a big win in Atlanta. They were set to face Utah the night after playing Denver.

Whether you are betting through your pay per head bookie or on one of those sportsbook apps, Indiana at home with a spread under ten should certainly be considered at this point in time.

Indiana has really come on strong during the month of January.  Against losing teams since the start of January, the Pacers have won by eight or more in five of six.

It's impressive that the last nine victories were without star Tyrese Haliburton.  He's traveling with the team currently and will be re-evaluated once home.
