Neither of the two top schools are living up to expectations this season. The Iowa Hawkeyes owned a record of 3-3 both Straight Up and Against The Spread. The Iowa State Cyclones were 3-4 Straight Up and 3-3-1 Against The Spread.
Coming into Week 8, the Hawkeyes Sagarin rating was still solid at No. 34 (78.34). Iowa State was coming in at a very respectable No. 23 (80.84).
