Underdog Fantasy Pick'em is now legal in Colorado.

The Daily Fantasy Sports company made the announcement on Wednesday August 9, 2023.

How Pick'em Works

Rivals is a matchup of two players centered around a stat category, like points, goals, or yards. Underdog Fantasy notes that there are typically adjustments with an example of LeBron (+2.5) points vs. Kevin Durant means that LeBron would be graded as a Win if LeBron scored more, equal, or 2 fewer points than Durant. For Durant to win, he would have needed to score 3 more points than LeBron.  Not all Rivals will feature adjustments if they are viewed as more competitive or of similar skill set.

There is also a Pick'em contest involving a "negative" stats called Lowest Score Wins Rival.  In these instances, the player with the lowest score is deemed the winner, and any adjustment associated with the Rival is added to the favorite's score. For example, in a Viktor Hovland (+.5) strokes Rival vs. Justin Thomas, if they both have 70 strokes in the round, Justin Thomas will be deemed the winner because Hovland will have ended with a 70.5 stroke total.

Are The Buffaloes for Real?

Dave Mason of BetOnline noted that the Colorado Buffaloes football team was seeing the most love of any team in college football earlier in the summer.

Reasons for this mostly are a result of new head coach Deion Sanders saying he is going to kick some ass, and doing so.  He pretty much scrapped the entire squad from last year and brought on all new players, including his own son.

Colorado was coming in as a +21.5 vs TCU in Week 1 and had more bets than any other side.

Over 3.5 wins has more bets than any college football win total.

100-1 to win the College Football Playoff is remarkably BetOnline's biggest liability.

So what gives? After all we are talking about a team that won a single game last season.  They also haven't won more than five games in a season since 2016.

Russell Wilson Most Improved Player Pays Out 20-1 Odds

With newly hired head coach Sean Payton, the Broncos are expected to improve...and starting quarterback Russell Wilson is likely to get back on track following a lukewarm season in 2022.

Payton made headlines after blaming his predecessor for Wilson's lagging performance and the team's dismal 5-12 record.

Wilson pays out $2000 (2nd shortest odds tied with Tua Tagovailoa) to be named "Most Improved" player.   Wilson could have a shot considering how Wilson was sacked more than any other quarterback during the 2022 season.  This means we're starting from quite the low point with a quality quarterback.
