Karen Bass is favored to win re-election as the LA major as reality star Spencer Pratt promises a payout of $325 for every $100 bet

New Jersey and Iowa races are mostly tight

Most eyes will be on the California primaries next week (don't worry Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota...we'll have numbers for you Monday), so let's take a look at how those races are stacking up in the eyes of the oddsmakers.
Karen Bass has roughly a 65% chance to be elected as the next Mayor of Los Angeles, according to BetOnline.
This race has drawn plenty of national media attention, primarily a result of reality star Spencer Pratt entering the race. He currently promises a payout of $325 for every $100 bet.
In the California Governor race, Xavier Becerra has pulled ahead of Tom Steyer overall, and he's just ahead of Steve Hilton to take Round 1. Becerra's vote share is projected at 27.5% while Hilton's is 26.5% (Steyer at 20.5%).
Oil companies are making a massive cash splash to back Becerra in the final stretch of California’s race for governor, according to news reports from that state.
Steyer has mostly drawn attention to this. Becerra calls the criticism hypocritical.
“I’m not only an environmentalist, but I’ve been one of the most aggressive and one of the most productive environmentalists in the country,” Becerra said.
There are also six California House of Representatives races to monitor next Tuesday, and we have odds for those below as well.
Finally, the numbers suggest that the New Jersey Senate Republican Primary is a very tight race between Alex Zdan and Richard Tabor.
