Justin Gaethje knocked out Dustin Poirier Saturday July 29 to claim the UFC BMF belt.

Coming off the biggest victory of his career, Poirier called for a title shot post-fight. And that road goes through the big, bad Islam Makhachev.

"Our shop first released Gaethje vs. Islam way back in February 2022. And guess what...the odds are exactly the same now as they were then," BetOnline tells us.

Additionally, despite Gaethje saying he won’t "fight someone on steroids" we posted odds for a bout against Conor McGregor. The non-juiced fighter is a hefty favorite.

“I like to fight big fights, so it sounds pretty exciting to me. I’m not gonna fight someone on steroids,” said Gaethje. “I’ve never taken steroids in my life, never will … and I don’t want to fight someone that’s cheating. And I probably shouldn’t say that if I want the fight, but it’s the truth.”

The Gaethje-Poirier bout coupled with Errol Spence vs. Terrence Crawford was a massive double billing for the books (and Gambling911) and the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz promises to be even more viewed (and bet on), that according to BetOnline's Dave Mason.

Fight Odds

Justin Gaethje +425

Islam Makhachev -600

------

Conor McGregor +230

Justin Gaethje -290

For his part, McGregor says he is "never retiring" and is open to a fight with Max Holloway.

The 31-year-old Holloway is a former UFC featherweight champion with a career record of 24-7.

McGregor called out Gaethje after his victory Saturday night.

“Justin, I’ll slap you around,” McGregor wrote.

Gaethje dismissed Conor's attempt to goad him during a post-fight press conference.

Jon Rahm Surges at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm was going for his third major win at the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played great, proving he’s ready to be a top golfer again. After some ups and downs since joining LIV Golf in late 2023, Rahm shot an impressive 4-under 67 in the third round on Saturday. This strong round put him tied for fifth place, just five shots behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler.
