What the Line on Kansas vs. Oklahoma Should Be

The Adjusted Efficiency for both teams arrives at a number of 2.37 with the Jayhawks having the advantage.  We then multiply that number by the addition of both teams Adjusted Tempo Possessions Per 40 Minutes, which totals 134.2.  We arrive at a number of 323, which is then divided by 200.   This gives us a line of Jayhawks 1.61.  However, home court advantage is typically tacked on at 3.50, which results in a line of Sooners -1.5 to -2.  The actual line was coming in at Kansas -2.

The Jayhawks are coming off a big 79-50 loss to Texas Tech on Monday. But the big question here is whether Kevin McCullar Jr., the Big 12's leading scorer, suits up for this one.  He's widely expected to play.

Oklahoma, meanwhile, is coming off a loss of its own to Baylor.

Rivaldo Soares scored 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting to lead Oklahoma (18-7, 6-6) before exiting with 4:58 left after his left foot twisted awkwardly on a drive. He had to be helped off the court and went immediately to the locker room.

“He's not putting any weight on it now,” Moser said. “I feel bad for Rivaldo, he’s been playing great, he’s been an energy guy for us. ... We’ll see how much that thing swells up.”

By Friday evening, Soares was ruled out for this game, as was junior forward John Hugley.
