Kings vs. Pacers Betting Preview

On paper at least, this looks like a great spot for the Sacramento Kings to be in.  The Pacers fly back to Indiana following a grueling hard luck 4-point loss in New York to the Knicks last night.  The Kings come into this one as a -3.5 favorite.

Opening Line Trend

Assuming they didn't play last night, Indiana should be a -2.26 favorite here.  There is a near 6-point overlay.

With the Pacers improving and Sacramento on the last leg of a road trip, this can conceivably be an 8-point overlay, especially if one or two of the Pacers stars listed as day-to-day comes off the injury list and Tyrese Haliburton is played more.

Recent Head to Head

The Pacers won the last two in this series, but more importantly perhaps they have covered this current spread in four of the last five meetings.

Back to Back

The Pacers played in New York against the Knicks last night, losing by four points.  They had to then fly back home to face a good Kings squad.

The Pacers previously beat the Hawks badly in Atlanta only to fly back home the next night and lose to Toronto by 1 point. The Knicks certainly would have tired the Pacers out more and the Kings are a better team than the Raptors, one can argue.

Recent Performance

The Kings are completing a 5-game road stand, which doesn't exactly place them in the best spot either.   They won the first three of this road trip but really struggled in their prior road trip just two weeks ago.

The Pacers looked really good against Boston despite the loss and have their big star back along with a big name newcomer.  They still have some players nursing injuries however.

Haliburton played against Boston in their last game, but only 22 minutes, as the team is slowly getting him into the groove following an injury.
