The Dallas Mavericks open as a -1.5 favorite in Atlanta versus the Hawks and this line has not fluctuated much.

Opening Line Trend

This one is pretty much on the money as we get Dallas -0.80 or rounded up to -1.

Recent Head to Head

Head-to-head, Atlanta has played well against Dallas of late.  They won three of the last four and one of the last five games was a loss by a single point.

The Hawks have won the last two home games in this series and four of the last five home games.  In the one home loss, the Mavericks were a -2 point favorite.  Atlanta was a -2 to -3.5 favorite in their last three home victories.

Back to Back

Though neither team is in a back-to-back situation here, the Mavs fly back tomorrow night to host the Sacramento Kings.  Note that they made a similar trip home to face the Kings back on November 19 after playing in Milwaukee the night before.  Dallas lost both of those.  They've had wins in other situations with a game on the road followed by a game at home the next evening, including a win at home against the Lakers after winning at Memphis.

Recent Performance

Atlanta is the worst team Against The Spread this season. Dallas sits around the .500 mark.

Both teams come into this one looking to avoid four consecutive losses.

The Falcons have given up an average of 124 points in their last three games (OUCH!).

Still, this is not a game we find especially appealing.

Damian Lillard Next Team Odds

When the notification came across the phone from Shams Charania that the Milwaukee Bucks had signed Myles Turner to a four-year contract, initial instinct was there must be more because the Bucks can’t fit him under the salary cap as a free agent.

Jaylen Brown Next Team Odds

The Boston Celtics shipped Kristaps Porziņgis and Jrue Holiday this week, shedding a ton of payroll, but they could offload even more if a trade partner for Jaylen Brown emerges.
