The graphic below, courtesy of BetOnline.ag, is based on geotagged X data since the Blue Jays won the ALCS, tracking tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases about who MLB fans are rooting for in the 2025 World Series.
For example, "I'm rooting for the Dodgers," "I'm rooting for the Blue Jays," #DodgersNation, #GoDodgers, #WANTITALL, #BlueJaysNation, #GoJays, etc. Over 130,000 tweets were tracked.
As you can see from the map, nearly the entire U.S. is rooting for the Toronto Blue Jays, the only MLB team from Canada.
Have the Los Angeles Dodgers become the new "Evil Empire,” similar to the Yankees of the late 90s and early 2000s?

The Dodgers won the World Series last year and have the second highest payroll in baseball. Plus, there’s lots of unhappiness centered around the odd contract that Shohei Ohtani signed.
Fans typically love an underdog (except for when betting for the most part) and the Blue Jays are +205 to win the series, which basically gives them a 29% probability of winning their first World Series since 1993.
The state-by-state rooting breakdown:
Dodgers - 4 states (California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah)
Blue Jays - 46 states (All other states)
