MLB Betting Analysis - June 24, 2025

Gambling911.com looks at potential value in MLB betting lines and totals based on a number of factors for June 24, 2025. 

June 24 Games 

Rangers vs. Orioles 

Much of the total action was on the Under 9.5 here after opening at 10. 

PITCHING PROBABLES: Rangers: Jake Latz (1-0, 3.26 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 30 strikeouts); Orioles: Charlie Morton (4-7, 5.64 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 74 strikeouts)

Morton was impressive in Thursday night’s victory over the Rays, racking up seven strikeouts over six innings of one-run baseball.

Before that, Morton recorded 10 strikeouts over five innings as the Orioles shut out the Angels 2-0 on Friday.

In 74 at bats these Rangers have had just three RBIs versus Morton.  He's permitted a single home run. 

Rays vs. Royals

There was greater than 60% of the backing on the Over 8.5 here.  Noticeably this one came down off the 9. 

Kansas City Royals career statistics vs. Taj Bradley have hit just five in 24 at bats. 

Bradley is coming off an outing in which he allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits in 1 1/3 innings against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Prior to that he allowed four hits and five runs – none of which were earned – with four walks and five strikeouts across four innings in a no-decision against the Mets.

Kris Bubic allowed a season-high nine hits and three earned runs with one walk and six strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a win over the Rangers on Wednesday.  He gave up five runs in his prior start.  But in his start before that one, Bubic was brilliant.   He racked up nine strikeouts over seven innings of one-run baseball vs. the Tigers. 

Some of the recreational books we follow also moved down to the 8.5.  Half of the last ten in this series have resulted in 8 or fewer runs.

June 23 Games 

Braves vs. Mets

The Over 8.5 was seeing significant lopsided action early on in this game. 

There was no movement off the 8.5 during the morning hours Monday. 

Spencer Schwellenbach yielded four runs in seven innings and struck out eight against the Mets on Tuesday.

He struck out nine in his first career complete game as the Braves topped the Brewers 6-2 in his prior start. 

Paul Blackburn allowed four hits and four runs, three earned, with two walks and two strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Braves on Wednesday.

Mariners vs. Twins

Greater than 86% of the total money was on the Over 8.5.  This one did open at 8 with recreational books also shifting up to the 8.5 in order to encourage more Under action. 

PITCHING PROBABLES: Mariners: Bryan Woo (6-4, 2.92 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, 78 strikeouts); Twins: Bailey Ober (4-4, 4.54 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, 62 strikeouts)

Yankees vs. Reds 

The total on this game moved from 9 to 10 with action still very lopsided on the Over as of Monday morning. 

June 22 Games Outlook

Cleveland Guardians vs. Athletics

We were seeing approximately 65% of the action on Cleveland as a -116 road favorite.  The number had been as high as -140.  The recreational books we follow were taking this number way down as well. 

PITCHING PROBABLES: Guardians: Slade Cecconi (2-3, 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 34 strikeouts); Athletics: JP Sears (5-6, 5.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, 58 strikeouts)

Slade Cecconi allowed two runs with six strikeouts over five innings in a win against the Giants on Tuesday.

Sears allowed five runs with no strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings in a loss against the Astros on Tuesday.  Prior to that, he fanned nine while allowing two runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Angels.

These Guardians have faced Sears 40 times with six RBIs. 

The Athletics are 9-7 in their last 16 games overall.  Cleveland, however, is 8-2 against them. 

We do see the Athletics winning here with a line of +105. 

The Athletics had more hits but still fell 3-0 to the Guardians.
