MLB Betting Analysis - June 29, 2025

Gambling911.com looks at potential value in MLB betting lines and totals based on a number of factors for June 29, 2025. 

June 29 Games 

Phillies vs. Braves 

Greater than 70% of the action was on the Phillies here as a +144 dog and that number has only gotten more appealing since opening at +118. 

Atlanta Braves career statistics vs. Ranger Suarez are 42 for 180 (.232) with 19 RBIs and 7 home runs, three of those courtesy of Ozzie Albies.

Suárez pitched well in a tough-luck loss against the Astros on Tuesday evening, giving up just one run on four hits over 7 2/3 stellar innings.  Before that, he allowed four hits and one run with two walks and eight strikeouts over seven innings in a win over the Marlins.

Spencer Strider has permitted just 35 hits off of 202 at bats vs. these Phillies (.173).  They have 7 home runs and 14 RBIs off of him. 

Strider yielded three runs in five innings and struck out eight in a victory over the Mets in his last start.

June 28 Games 

Lopsided Action

• Arizona Diamondbacks (80%) - Despite the 80% action on Arizona, this one actually has come down from -180 to -151. 

Don't look now but the Marlins are winners of six of their last seven games. In fact, their record is 10-4 over their last 14 games. 

Arizona Diamondbacks career statistics vs. Sandy Alcantara are just .158 (8 for 50).  They just have one home run and three RBIs. 

Alcantara allowed three runs on six hits in six innings in a win over the Braves on Sunday.

Brandon Pfaadt allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss against the Rockies on Sunday.  He's allowed 11 hits in 31 at bats vs. these Diamondbacks.

Nice OT win for us with Miami, though the starting pitching for the Marlins was of little help. 

June 27 Games 

Lopsided Action

• Arizona Diamondbacks (72%) - They host the Marlins Friday evening.  The line initially opened at -196, dropped down to -161 and was back up to -180 by Friday afternoon. 
• New York Mets (80%) - New York was playing in Pittsburgh.  Pittsburgh Pirates career statistics vs. David Peterson are just 13 for 62 with four RBIs.  The Under was seeing 70% of the action with the total moving from 8.5 to 8. Pirates win.  Game goes Over (9-1).
• Tampa Rays (65%) - The line has moved from -110 to -131. Tampa gets pummeled with a score that resembled a football game (22-8)
• Athletics/Yankees Over 8.5 (75%) - This one caught our eye as the total opened at 9 and had moved down to 8 at some books. The Under comes through with just four runs scored. 

Mitch Spence was credited with a loss while giving up four runs over 4 2/3 innings against the Guardians on Saturday.  In his prior start he allowed just one run in five innings. 

Will Warren has allowed just four hits in 20 at bats versus these Athletics.  They failed to get an RBI off of Warren.  He yielded two runs in 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Orioles.

Though four of the last ten games in this series have stayed Under 8.5, the last five have stayed Over that number. 

In six of the Athletics last ten games, they have scored no more than 3 runs.  They've allowed no more than 3 runs in five of their last ten games. 

The Yankees have scored no more than three runs in half of their last ten overall and permitted no more than 3 runs in six of their last ten.

• Nationals/Angels Over 9 (65%) - This one opened at 8.5. 
• Cubs/Astros Under 8 (85%) - This one opened at 9.
