June 8 Games Outlook

Dodgers vs. Cardinals

65% of the bets and 83% of the overall money was rolling in on LA, yet the line moved from Dodgers -145 to -125.  Some of the recreational books we monitor were holding at between -125 and -130.  Bovada is one such book.  They were offering LA at -130.

The Cardinals, who currently own a 36-28 record and are two games down from the Dodgers, are 3-1 against LA in their last four meetings.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw (0-0, 5.17 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, eight strikeouts); Cardinals: Michael McGreevy (0-0)

St. Louis Cardinals career statistics vs. Clayton Kershaw are .272.

Kershaw allowed five runs -- three earned -- with two strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Tuesday.   He had a no-decision in his prior start as well.

The Cardinals recalled RHP Michael McGreevy from Triple-A Memphis.

St. Louis wins this one at +109

June 7 Games Outlook

Phillies vs. Pirates

The line on this game has dropped from -181 to -137 despite all the lopsided action on Philadelphia.

Remarkably, the Pirates do have a winning record over the last two weeks (7-6).  These clubs have split wins over their last ten meetings.

Pittsburgh Pirates career statistics vs. Ranger Suarez are just .224 with one home run in 67 appearances.

Suarez allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings and got a no-decision against the Brewers on Sunday.  Prior to that, he blanked the Braves.

Philadelphia Phillies career statistics vs. Andrew Heaney are .311 with one homer in 45 at bats.

Heaney pitched well in a no-decision against the Padres on Sunday afternoon, allowing just two runs on five hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Go with the Pirates +124 here

Another nice underdog win here.

June 6 Games Outlook

Red Sox vs. Yankees

All the action was on the Yankees with the moneyline and oddsmakers were moving the line accordingly from -160 to -190.

Royals vs. White Sox

These White Sox are bad but not as bad as last year.  Greater than 70% of the action was on the Kansas City Royals here.  This shouldn't surprise anyone.  It's not just that the Royals are the better team here, they've won the last straight versus Chicago.

The line though is too enticing for the public to pass up.  KC has gone from a -170 favorite to -130.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Royals: Seth Lugo (3-5, 3.45 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 45 strikeouts); White Sox: Davis Martin (2-6, 3.67 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, 41 strikeouts)

Chicago White Sox career statistics vs. Seth Lugo are just .193 with no home runs in 57 at bats.

One recreational book we know was pushing the -131.

Call us crazy but jump on the White Sox bandwagon this evening at +160

We weren't too crazy.  The White Sox did go on to win.

June 5 Games Outlook

Rangers vs. Rays

Ain't nobody on the Over here but you would hardly know it the way the books were seemingly trying to get action on the Under.  This one moved from 8 to 9.5.  Some books had dropped back to 8.5.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Rangers: Jack Leiter (4-2, 3.66 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 36 strikeouts); Rays: Ryan Pepiot (3-5, 3.21 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 56 strikeouts)

Astros vs. Pirates

Do we dare go with the Pirates?

The line has moved from Houston -153 down to -137 with 70% or more of the moneyline action on the Astros.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Astros: Framber Valdez (5-4, 3.12 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 73 strikeouts); Pirates: Mitch Keller (1-7, 3.73 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 56 strikeouts)

Pirates career statistics vs. Framber Valdez are just .200 with 12 hits in 60 at bats, one of which was a home run.

June 4 Games Outlook

Twins vs. Athletics

Very lopsided action on Minnesota as the road team here.  The line has moved accordingly from -144 to -188 Twins.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Twins: Zebby Matthews (0-1, 6.43 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 21 strikeouts); Athletics: Jeffrey Springs (5-4, 4.72 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 49 strikeouts)

Twins win

Angels vs. Red Sox

The total here has moved from 9.5 to 10.5 just prior to game time and still better than 80% of those gambling the total were on the Over.

This was a huge Over.

Orioles vs. Mariners

61% to 67% of the action was on Seattle here yet the line has moved down from -137 to -105.

PITCHING PROBABLES: Orioles: Cade Povich (1-4, 5.29 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, 53 strikeouts); Mariners: Emerson Hancock (2-2, 5.64 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 32 strikeouts)

Povich allowed eight hits and five runs with three walks and nine strikeouts across 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Hancock held the Nationals to two runs over 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision on Thursday.  Prior to that he fired six innings of three-run baseball in a no-decision against the Astros on Friday.

The Orioles have won seven of their last eight games.  Baltimore has won seven of the last nine games in this series.

Do take Baltimore here at EVEN odds.

We did it with a nice Orioles victory.
