Justin Verlander Next Team odds have him going to the Chicago Cubs if he is not with the Houston Astros next season.

Unlike the NFL and the NBA, MLB’s free agency season moves at a snail’s pace.

We’re now two weeks into the free agency season and the biggest signings are Travis d’Arnaud and Kyle Hendricks by the Los Angeles Angels. Yawn!

Verlander's fastball may not be what it used to be but he has demonstrated the ability to throw strikes.

Verlander made it clear her intends to pitch in 2025.

From NBC Edge:

There’s never been anything to suggest Verlander would walk away, but some quick confirmation is nice. Verlander, who will turn 42 in February, was limited to 17 starts this year and went 5-6 with a 5.48 ERA. It’s just the third time in his 17 relatively full seasons that he’s been below average. He just finished up a two-year, $86,666,666 deal he signed with the Mets before being traded back to Houston.
