NBA Award Changes Odds With 40 Percent of Season Complete

The NBA season is 40% done and we’ve already seen some award changes at BetOnline.ag.

There are new favorites for MVP, ROY and MIP in SGA, Zach Edey and Jalen Johnson.

Below are comparisons (with notes) on how the NBA Awards have changed since we last sent out on Dec. 2.

1. MVP
   1. SGA is the new favorite in a close race against Nikola Jokic which seems like a two-horse race now.
   2. Karl-Anthony Towns is now on the board and tied for sixth.
   3. Anthony Edwards from 18/1 to 150/1.
   4. LeBron and Luka (due to injury) are now off the board.
2. Rookie of the Year
   1. Zach Edey is once again the favorite going from 35/1 to 10/11 (-110).
   2. Jared McCain was the favorite in the last email but a potentially season-ending injury knocked him off the board.
   3. Yves Missi went from off the board to the second favorite at 13/4 (+325)
   4. Alexandre Sarr from 25/1 to 7/1.
   5. Tristan da Silva is now on the board.
   6. Donovan Clingan is now off the board.
3. Coach of the Year
   1. Kenny Atkinson is still the favorite and improved his lead.
   2. Taylor Jenkins is now second going from 25/1 to 6/1.
   3. Quin Snyder is back on the board now at 40/1.
   4. Charles Lee, Chris Finch, Erik Spoelstra, Jason Kidd, JJ Redick, Jordi Fernandez, Michael Malone, Mike Budenholzer and Steve Kerr are now off the board.
4. Defensive Player of the Year
   1. Victor Wembanyama is still the favorite and improved his lead.
   2. Rudy Gobert from 50/1 to 16/1.
   3. Draymond Green from 10/1 to 33/1.
   4. Anthony Davis from 40/1 to 100/1.
   5. Jalen Williams is now on the board.
   6. Derrick White, Jarrett Allen and Tari Eason are now off the board.
5. Most Improved Player:
   1. Jalen Johnson is the new favorite, coming from third place.
   2. Franz Wagner was the favorite but the oblique injury knocked him off the board.
   3. Tyler Herro is now on the board and in second at 3/1.
   4. Cade Cunningham from 33/1 to 6/1.  
   5. Norman Powell from 20/1 to 7/1.
   6. Bennedict Mathurin from 33/1 to 100/1..
   7. 6 additional players are now off the board including Coulibaly, Cam Johnson, Jaden Ivey, Poetl, OG, and Ty Jerome.
6. Sixth Man of the Year:
   1. Payton Pritchard is still the favorite but De’Andre Hunter and his scoring tear has moved into second and closed the gap.
   2. De”Andre Hunter from 40/1 to 5/2.
   3. Tari Eason from 28/1 to 100/1.
   4. Malik Beasley been added to the board.
   5. Mathurin, Buddy Heild, Grayson Allen, Clarkson, McBride, Tre Mann and Ty Jerome are now off the board.
