When the notification came across the phone from Shams Charania that the Milwaukee Bucks had signed Myles Turner to a four-year contract, initial instinct was there must be more because the Bucks can’t fit him under the salary cap as a free agent.
Our first thought was a sign and trade with Pacers, but never did we think they would waive Damian Lillard and stretch the $113 million remaining on his contract.
It does make sense. Lillard will be 36 at the start of the 2026-27 season while coming off an Achilles tear. This move gave the Bucks some financial flexibility, which allowed them to sign Turner.
While this moves probably improves this likelihood of Giannis staying, crazier things have happened, so we’ve updated his next team odds as well.
