Angry Miami area residents took to Reddit to express their disgust over having to pay for Heat basketball games following FanDuel's takeover of Bally Sport this season.

And to make matters worse, the Heat have rather long odds to win the Championship this year at 45-1.

JustiseWinsMo writes:

"20+ years. Never missed a game in my life. Every single one watched locally, in South Florida, through the most basic cable package. In stunning fashion, 2 days before the season starts, Fanduel has bought the broadcast rights and now I have to pay $20 a month JUST to watch the Heat through a shitty fucking app. This is absurd."

miaheat1 chimed in:

"It's criminal that they can get away with this. $20 a month to watch what should be a locally televised basketball game? Lock these companies up and throw away the key."

sebastianqu writes:

"Freaking sports leagues these days are actively trying to make it difficult to watch their content. Even the NFL just broadcasted a prime-time game exclusively on ESPN+. We don't have the money to pay for 8+ different apps and services to watch a couple sports games."

Let's see if they try to force us to pay to watch Marlins games come April.  They should probably be paying us to watch the Marlins.

FanDuel acquired 16 Bally Sports networks, including in the South Florida market,  rebranding to significantly boost its media presence there.

Gambling911.com reported this past week on how those on Facebook were blasting FanDuel for advertising their streaming service on that social media platform with a disount promo to watch Heat games from South Florida.
