There was a lot of conversation around the NBA's Most Improved Player race this past season.

Many people believed Cade Cunningham should have taken home the award given the Pistons remarkable turnaround.

But many people also argued that a player who was drafted No. 1 overall should never win MIP because he was supposed to be good from the get-go.

While Cunningham was the odds-on favorite at different times throughout the year (as was Normal Powell), he ultimately finished third behind Dyson Daniels and Ivica Zubac.

BetOnline.ag released its early Most Improved Player odds this week, and the favorite, Deni Avdija, received a single first-place vote last season.

A couple of Pacers, who broke out during the NBA Playoffs, are second and third on the board, respectively.

Jonathan Kuminga, who could be on a different team at some point next season, seems like a risky bet but is the last of four players with less than 20/1 odds.

Bronny James has the longest odds on the board at 250/1.
