The Spurs said in a statement that the condition was discovered after Wembanyama returned to San Antonio after the All-Star Game.

A thrombosis is a form of a blood clot. The Spurs believe it is an isolated issue for Wembanyama.

As of Thursday early afternoon, the Spurs line sat at +2.5 as they prepared to host the Phoenix Suns.  The AcePerHead odds feed did not list the game as of 1:03 pm ET.

Wembanyama has been averaging 24.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 3.8 blocks for the Spurs.

The Spurs are 16-18 against conference opponents. San Antonio has a 5-6 record in games decided by 3 points or fewer.

The Suns have gone 17-17 against Western Conference opponents. Phoenix is 13-5 when it turns the ball over less than its opponents and averages 13.2 turnovers per game.

The Spurs are shooting 46.1% from the field this season, 0.1 percentage points lower than the 46.2% the Suns allow to opponents. The Suns are shooting 47.4% from the field, 1.0% higher than the 46.4% the Spurs' opponents have shot this season.
