Needville Texas is one of two US teams to have qualified for the 2023 Little League World Series with eight more to join the party.  The team will represent the Southwest Region and the Houston area with futures odds going live at BetUS prior to August 16.

Needville went 4-0 at the Southwest Region tournament in Waco to advance.

Payout odds for Needville and other qualifiers will be released by BetUS in the coming days.  BetUS is one of the few online sportsbooks that accepts bets on the LLWS.

Last year’s Little League World Series featured a team from the Houston area as well, Pearland. That group of youngsters finished the tournament as a U.S. semifinalist.  Hawaii would ultimately go on to win.

The Little League World Series will be played Aug. 16-27 in Williamsport, PA. Needville’s first game will be against the winner of the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Teams from Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. are represented in that region.

“Thanks to all the fans that came out to support our boys as they punched their ticket to the LL World Series,” the league said on their official Facebook page. “Thanks to all that watched on TV and sent all the heartfelt congratulations. No doubt these boys are talented but having all the support pushed them over the top!”

Texas has been represented in the Little League World Series final twice since 2000, losing both times.

As of August 10, only Nolensville in Tennessee had qualified to play in the Little League World Series from the United States.
