Brian Callahan of the Tennessee Titans was the first coach fired during the 2025 NFL season.
His full-time replacement is Robert Saleh, who coincidentally was the first head coach fired during the 2024 NFL season while leading the Jets.
Going back further, the first coach fired in 2023 was Josh McDaniels of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have since also fired Pete Carroll (they are currently coached by Klint Kubiak).
Needless to say, coaching is a tenuous job in the NFL.
Because of this, the oddsmakers at BetOnline Sports & Casino have opened odds on the first NFL coach to be fired in 2026.
