These are your top handicapper consensus picks from the G911 Sports Hub for Week 1 of the 2024 season.

Steelers @ Falcons

80% of the cappers were backing Atlanta here.  The line has moved from Atlanta -2.5 in early August to -3.5.

Winners and Whiners is also on the Falcons:

"Both teams have plenty of new faces in the mix this season so it will be interesting to see how things play out, especially in the opener. Atlanta has the majority of their skill position players from the offensive side of the ball back and one has to think that there will be improvement on that side of the ball with a proven commodity like Cousins running the offense. Pittsburgh is dealing with Wilson’s calf strain and they are still trying to figure out the pecking order for their receivers beyond Pickens. The Steelers have a solid defense but their offense is still a work in progress in addition to being on the road. As a result, give the edge to the Falcons as they come up with the victory here."

The Gambling911.com Verdict:

Sagarin gives us a number of 1.31, suggesting a two to three point overlay.  Our model favors the dog, Pittsburgh, here.  Our confidence level, however, may have us sitting this one out.

Texans @ Colts

Houston is a pretty solid -2.5 road favorite here.  The Colts once dominated this series but only won once in the last three meetings.

Cappers were leaning slightly towards Indianapolis here.

We get a line that is right on the money at Texans -2.5.

Our model indicates a very high probability of the Texans covering here.

Cowboys @ Browns

The Prez was pretty sensational with his NFL picks last season and is backing Dallas in this one.  He went 22-8 in the NFL last season but has performed poorly with his most recent picks across other sports.

We get a number of 1.41 for Cleveland per Sagarin.

This one has moved between -2.5 and -3.5.

More Considerations

Jaguars @ Dolphins - There is no consensus on this game but Sagarin gives us a number of 5.1 Miami and the actual line is -3.5. Our model does not give any edge to the underlays at this line range of 3 to 3.5.
