Heavy lake effect snow was anticipated ahead of Sunday night's football game between the San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills.  A warning was in effect until 7 PM EST Sunday evening.  The game is set to begin at 8 pm EST.

Forecasts coming into this game earlier in the week called for 20 to 30 inches of snow to fall over a 12-to-16-hour period starting late Saturday afternoon.

18 inches of snow had fallen already as of Sunday morning with more anticipated.

None of this bodes well for the 49ers and this is reflected in the line and heavy lopsided action favoring Buffalo.

The line on this game opened at Bills -3.5 and had shot all the way up to -7 before dropping down to -6.

Sagarin had a line at Bills 6.79 that doesn't even consider the snow factor.

Josh Allen’s stellar season continues! After handing the Chiefs their first defeat of the season with a remarkable 4th down TD rush by Allen, the MVP hopeful and the Buffalo Bills now get ready to host the San Francisco 49ers. Kyle Shanahan’s team has been wildly inconsistent and injury ridden through the season. An early SB favorite is now struggling to stay in the fight for the NFC West and a possible playoff berth. After taking a beating against the Packers in week 12 without Brock Purdy, the 49ers know there is no more room for error. Will they pull the upset against one of the best sides in the league, or will Josh Allen continue his outstanding season and take the Bills to another victory?
