Odds on Abdul Carter Selection in NFL Draft: Shoots Up Board
Most years, there is a clear favorite to be drafted No. 1 overall in the NFL Draft.
Think Andrew Luck, Trevor Lawrence, Caleb Williams, Joe Burrow, Peyton and Eli Manning, Michael Vick, and on and on.
Two drafts stick out to me where there were big question marks about who was going first. One was 2013 where Eric Fisher was the first pick and the other was 2022 where Travon Walker was the first pick.
This year could be the third.
On April 27, SportsBetting.ag opened 2025 NFL Draft lines with Shedeur Sanders as the favorite.
And this is how the favorite changed over time: Sanders to Quinn Ewers to Carson Beck back to Sanders to Travis Hunter back to Sanders to Cam Ward to Cam Ward tied with Travis Hunter and finally our current line which has Cam Ward as the favorite.
This week we have a new hot name in the NFL Draft circles…Abdul Carter.
Carter opened at 33/1 and was as high as 66/1 on January 6. Today he sits in second at 2/1. Will he become the favorite?
