Bengals Relocation to Chicago Called 'Absurd' and Oddsmakers Agree
Forget The Masters. The Bengals relocation odds from Cincinnati (favored to go to St. Louis) is the single most sought after betting market this week at Gambling911.com. It's seeing the 6th most number of impressions on Google (specifically for St. Louis) at 5448 over the last six days.
The Cincinnati Bengals' stadium lease could expire as soon as the end of the 2025 season.
If that happens, the Bengals would become "geographic free agents," and team VP Katie Blackburn wasn't shy about the possibility of relocating saying: We could, I guess, go wherever we wanted after this year if we didn’t pick the up option up. So, you know, we’ll see.
Let's start the speculation!
BetOnline.ag has set odds for where the Bengals franchise could potentially relocate to, and you can find the full list of 17 cities.
Renowned sports report, Mike Florio of NBC Sports, floated the concept that the Bengals might end up in - wait for it - CHICAGO.
The concept was deemed "absurd" by, well, every single Bengals fan and many media outlets.
From Cincinnati.com:
Florio wrote that the revenue from 20 NFL games at the stadium each year, along with everything else that could be hosted in a fixed-roof building, should be able to pay for the building.
But let's be fair to Mike. He did acknowledge the "chances of this actually happening are low," but "in theory, it's possible."
Don't worry Bengals fans, the odds of this happening are so low that BetOnline hasn't even listed Chicago among its odds....yet.
