When numbers for who would be the first NFL head coach canned this season were initially released, the Jets' Robert Saleh was the favorite.
Fast forward a little over a month (odds first opened July 17), and, not only do we have a fresh face at the top of the list, we have an overwhelming favorite.
BetOnline.ag now has Dennis Allen listed at more than half the odds of the next-closest coach.
Mike McCarthy remains No. 2 on the totem pole, while Todd Bowles, Brian Daboll and Saleh round out the Top 5.
Along with Allen, Doug Pederson has been a popular wager among bettors with his odds going from 25/1 to 16/1.
