Chiefs Lose Sixth Straight Against The Spread
The Kansas City Chiefs continues to win close games, and Friday night's game at home against the Las Vegas Raiders was no exception.
Betting against the Chiefs has become all the rage.
We've come up with our own lines for the remaining Chiefs games of the regular season to see if the oddsmakers start considering underlays when posting these spreads. Consider a margin of error here of 1 point. We do not list the final game of the season as other factors could impact the line such as whether the game has much significance and the potential for sitting out key players like Patrick Mahomes.
12/8 - Chargers +3.5 Chiefs (anticipate a line of Chiefs -3 here)
12/15 - Chiefs -7.5 Browns (anticipate a line of Chiefs -6.5 here)
12/21 - Texans +2 Chiefs
12/25 Chiefs -1 Steelers
Oddsmakers will want to rectify the current discrepancy between the Chiefs actual record of 11-1 and their ATS record of 5-7. The bettors mindset going into these games will be that the Chiefs can't cover. We'd be very surprised if the Chargers are not seeing lopsided action next week.
