Vs. the Bucs Week 8

(October 26, 2024) - QB Kirk Cousins threw for a career-best 509 yards with four touchdowns in his most recent game against the Buccaneers, including the game-winning score in overtime. In two games since then, he was held to a total of 457 yards through the air, with two TDs, two interceptions and a fumble that was returned for a score. Cousins will be looking to improve on those numbers at Tampa Bay.

Cousins completed 42-of-58 passes for 509 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Falcons’ 36-30, Week 5 overtime win over the Bucs in Atlanta.

He was listed with an Over/Under of 246.5 passing yards in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay at BetUS.

75% of the action was on Atlanta (both tickets and cash).  The line was trending up from -1.5 to -2.5 Atlanta.

Sagarin suggests Tampa should be favored here but that does not necessarily take into account the Bucs injuries.

Vs. Panthers Week 6

Kirk Cousins completed 19-of-30 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons’ 38-20, Week 6 win over the Panthers.

From NBC Edge:

Cousins’ stat line looked quiet on a ground-and-pound day for the Falcons. He attempted 30 passes while the Falcons also ran the ball 34 times. Managing the offense consistently, Cousins’ sole touchdown throw was a three-yard pass to Drake London. He may have had another touchdown throw later in the game on a deep shot to Kyle Pitts, where Pitts stopped running and did not make a play on the ball. No turnovers or sacks against a weak Panthers defense for Cousins, though fantasy managers would have liked more scoring. The Falcons play another struggling defense in the Seahawks for Week 7, putting Cousins in the high-end QB2 range.
