Oddsmakers are counting on a repeat of the 2023 Super Bowl where purple Gatorade was poured over Chiefs winning coach Andy Reid after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles.

Interestingly enough, last year's Gatorade color was also purple.

Purple is not even considered among the most popular Gatorade flavors.  Blue is.

Blue has been poured three of four times since 2019, and prior to the consecutive purple Gatorade showers.

Gatorade Color History

  • 2022: Blue, dumped on the LA Rams
  • 2021: Blue, dumped on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • 2020: Orange, dumped on the Kansas City Chiefs
  • 2019: Blue, dumped on the New England Patriots
  • 2018: Yellow, dumped on the Philadelphia Eagles
  • 2017: No Gatorade bath
