Sportsbooks Make Out Like Bandits With Raiders Cover Thursday Night
As promised, the Las Vegas Raiders covered in Thursday night's game against the Denver Broncos.
Truth be told, we could spot this one a mile away (see our breakdown ahead of this game below).
Denver still pulled out their 7th straight victory despite the 10-7 win. Congrats to those who had the Under here.
Sportsbooks made out like bandits with this one. Colorado bookies, in particular, were celebrating this lackluster victory.
Broncos players don't care how they win, just as long as they win, and at 8-2, they now have the best record in the NFL.
“We’ve got to clean up some of the penalties. We’ve got to clean up the execution and that is an ongoing thing that probably never ends,” coach Sean Payton said after the Broncos squeaked past the reeling Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 on Thursday night.
"You search for that Shangri-La. Right now, you know, we’re sitting at eight wins. I think we’re the only team sitting there.”

We've seen this one open at Denver -10 and drop all the way down to -8.5 at Bovada, all this despite lopsided heavy action on the Broncos. The books continued to encourage action on Denver Thursday though action was 76% with the line at -9.5 (still available at some books).
One of the top handicappers we follow is indeed on the Raiders, as are we.
Though Denver won the last two in this series, the Raiders were victorious in the eight previous games. The Broncos just barely covered this current spread in their last meeting.

Vikings @ Lions - Detroit was seeing the most lopsided action at 92% with the line moving between -7.5 and -8.5, up and down. We get a line of Detroit 10.5, indicating a 3+ underlay.

This price tag on Detroit is simply too high. The Vikings could lose this game comfortably, never really threaten to win and still cover the spread.
We've seen this time and time again this year with big underdogs covering the spread. Quite frankly, that's really the only spot underdogs have been covering, aside from underdogs coming off big losses.
Team coming off a loss of 20+ points have covered the spread at a 56% clip since 2018.
Also worth noting is that he Vikings are on a road trip and the Lions are on a home stand.
Teams on a road trip are 4-2 ATS so far this season. And surprisingly enough, that trend actually has some historical data to support it.
In the last 20 years, in divisional games where a team on a road trip is facing a team on a home stand, the team on the road is 88-65-5 ATS (58%).
Colts @ Steelers
The Colts were seeing 72% of the spread action here.
The trend has been from Indianapolis -3 to -3.5.
We actually get a line of Steelers -1.
The dog has fared quite well in these situations.

The line here has moved from Houston +1 to -2.5 despite 70% or more of the spread action on Denver.
