Three young centers are dominating the NHL ranks this season with Connor Bedard, Macklin Celebrini and Leo Carlsson each ranking among the top five in points.
The 19-year-old phenom Celebrini, with 40 points, ranks second in league while 20-year-old Bedard is third with 38. Carlsson is tied for fourth with 36 points.
These young guns are aiming to follow in the footsteps of two of NHL's elder statesmen: Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin.
Cross, at 38 years young, is currently third in the league with 18 goals. Ovechkin, the all-time leading goal scorer, has 14 goals on the season (T-16th). The vets are tied with 29 points.
