The Rangers are 4-2 in their last six games, but Peter Laviolette’s hot seat continues to get warmer.

On Christmas Day, Laviolette had 10/1 odds to be the fifth NHL head coach fired this season, but steady action on New York’s ice general has shortened his odds to 2/1.

SportsBetting.ag has updated its chances for the next NHL coach canned, which you can find below.

Nashville’s Andrew Brunette remains the favorite, but Laviolette is now a close second following a “flurry of wagers over the past two weeks” on the Rangers coach.

Another NY-based coach, Lindy Ruff, has seen his odds go from 18/1 to 12/1 in the same timeframe.
