Palms Casino Owner Arrested For DUI After Just Four Beers
All it took was four beers according to George Maloof Jr., owner of the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort and Sacramento Kings NBA basketball team. Police arrested Maloof Jr. late Saturday on suspicion of drunken driving near his Spanish Trail Country Club home late Saturday night.
Maloof Jr. told the Associated Press he was driving home with an assistant from a friend’s wedding about six miles away and had only drank four beers. His blood-alcohol level registered at 0.086 percent, however, just over the legal limit. Police say he was speeding and driving without a valid license or insurance.
Maloof said he was released from prison early Sunday morning. – Gambling911.com Staff.
