The Texas Rangers vs. New York Yankees Game 4 betting line was listed at Yankees -145 with a total of 9.5 flat at SBG Global. Game time is Tuesday, 8:05 pm Eastern – TBS.

Game 4 of the American League Championship Series takes place on Tuesday night in New York as the Yankees host the Texas Rangers.  It is the fourth starter going for both teams as the Rangers send Tommy Hunter while the Yankees go with A.J. Burnett.

The Yankees are -145 favorites in Game 1 at SBG Global with the total at 9.5 Flat.

The Yankees are favored in this game but it is hard to have a great deal of confidence in New York with Burnett on the mound. He was 10-15 this baseball season with a 5.26 ERA. It is hard to have a losing record on a team as good as the Yankees but Burnett pulled it off.  There were times when he was very good but far too often this season he was very bad.  Last year in the playoffs he started five times and was 1-1 with a 5.27 ERA.

The Rangers are going with Tommy Hunter and his numbers this season were very good.  He was 13-4 in the regular seasons with a 3.73 ERA. He started against Tampa Bay in the ALDS and took the loss as he went just four innings and gave up six hits and three runs, two of which were earned.  He did strike out seven in his four innings.

Here are the baseball betting statsfor Tuesday’s game.  The Rangers are 16-7 in Hunter’s last 23 starts but they are just 3-7 in his last 10 road starts vs. a team with a winning record.  Hunter has pitched twice in his career against the Yankees and the Rangers have split those two games.  Earlier this season, he gave up just two earned runs in five innings and had eight strikeouts vs. New York.

The Yankees are 61-22 in their last 83 home games vs. a right-handed starter. The Yankees are 5-17 in Burnett’s last 22 starts. The Yankees are 1-4 in Burnett’s last 5 home starts. The Yankees are 3-3 in Burnett’s last six starts against the Rangers.

The Under is 6-2 in the Rangers last 8 road games vs. a right-handed starter.

The Over is 5-1 in Hunter’s last 6 starts vs. the American League East. The Over is 8-3 in Hunter’s last 11 starts overall. The Over is 3-1-1 in the Yankees last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter. The Under is 20-8-2 in Burnett’s last 30 home starts.
