Monday Night Football: Texans vs. Colts Spread

The Monday Night Football Texans vs. Colts spread was listed at Indianapolis -5 at BetED.com.  65 percent of the spread betting action was on the Colts in this game.  Money line action was even and would pay $20 for every $10 bet for Houston should they win outright.  We would note, however, that prior to the Texans win over Indianapolis a few weeks back, the Colts had won the past 6 in this series.

Both teams come into this game with 4-2 records.  Both teams will be playing following their bye weeks.  We would note that there are no significant trends related to play after a bye week for either team (Houston is 3-4 ATS since 1992, Indianapolis is 11-13).  In recent years, however, the Colts have gone 5-1 ATS following a bye week.

The Texans last beat the surprise Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6.

Houston appeared destined to lose, trailing 31-21 with just over 7 minutes left.

But Schaub threw two long passes to Owen Daniels, and Arian Foster scored with 3:30 left to cut the Chiefs' lead to 3. The Texans quarterback went 9 for 15 in the fourth quarter.

"Our quarterback was absolutely spectacular," Kubiak said. "You can't win games like that in this league unless your quarterback is special, and ours was special today."

The Colts won their game against the Redskins during Week 6.

Manning completed 19 of 29 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns out of the shotgun Sunday at FedEx Field.

Below Gambling911.com reviews some more important betting trends coming into this game.
