Jets vs. Lions Spread

When we look at the Jets vs. Lions spread, keep in mind that the New York Jets are the most wagered on team of the NFL weekend.  The line on this game was -4.5 at Diamond Sports International.   The Jets were getting 80 percent of the spread action.  Around 60 percent of the money line action was going towards New York.   The money line was -240.  85 percent of the total action was on the OVER 42.

The Jets come into this game 5-2 after losing last week to Green Bay at home.   Not only did they lose, New York was shut out.  It is their first shut out since 2006.

The Lions, meanwhile, are just 2-5 but come into this game having beaten Washington at home last week.

The former No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford returned after suffering a separated shoulder in Week 1 and threw three second-half touchdowns to a come-from-behind 37-25 win over Washington.

"(Matthew and I) talk before the game in warmups to get a vibe," said Calvin Johnson. "We started off rusty, but I saw what he saw and vice versa and we were able to get the job done.
