Toledo at Northern Illinois
Tuesday, 7:00 pm Eastern – ESPN 2

A first place battle in the MAC is on tap for Tuesday night with ESPN 2 providing the coverage.  Toledo and Northern Illinois are both 5-0 in the conference so the winner of this college football betting game will likely win the West Division of the MAC and play in the conference title game.  Toledo has dominated the series against Northern Illinois but this year’s Huskies team is very good and they are heavily favored on Tuesday night at home.

Northern Illinois is an 10.5 point favorite at SBG Global and the total at 50.

This series has been very one-sided with Toledo winning 29 of the 37 all-time meetings.  It could be different this year though as Northern Illinois appears to be better on both sides of the ball. The Huskies are 16th in the country in fewest points allowed per game and their offense is not bad either at 44th in the country.   Chad Spann already has 1,000 yards rushing this  NCAA football betting season and quarterback Chandler Harnish has been solid.

Toledo is just not quite as good across the board as Northern Illinois. They rank 76th in the country in points per game and 63rd in points allowed per game.  The Rockets are also going with a freshman at quarterback in Terrance Owens since starter Austin Dantin is out with an injury.  That might not be all bad though as Owens is a very capable passer and gives Toledo more balance.

Here are the football betting stats for Tuesday’s game.  The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games. The Rockets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Rockets are 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 meetings at Northern Illinois.

The Huskies are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 conference games. The Huskies are 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite. The Huskies are 6-0-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Huskies are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games as a home favorite. The Huskies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in November.

The Over is 6-2 in the Rockets last 8 games as a road underdog. The Over is 6-2 in the Huskies last 8 games in November. The Under is 15-6-1 in the Huskies last 22 home games. The Under is 3-1-2 in the last 6 meetings between the two teams.
