The Oklahoma State vs. Texas spread was listed at OK State -5 after opening at -6.5 earlier in the week. Some 80 percent of those betting the spread were on Oklahoma State in this game. Texas was getting unusually lopsided (up to 95 percent) action on the money line, which would pay out $17 for every $10 bet should the Longhorns win outright. The 54.5 total was getting around 75 percent on the OVER.
There is a reason why we are seeing such heavy money line action going Texas’ way. The Longhorns (at 4-5 on the season) have won the last 10 in this series outright. We can view this as a 4-5 team going up against a number 11-ranked 8-1 team having little shot of winning, but past history suggests otherwise.
Note that the Mirage in Las Vegas had the line at Oklahoma State -5.5. The Hard Rock Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic had the line at -5. Online, SBG Global was listing OK State at -5.
