Black Friday may be less black in 2010 than last year thanks to some slight glimmers of economic hope.  One of the products expected to be in most demand this upcoming Black Friday is the iPad.  Experts believe that 2010 Black Friday consumers and retailers will be honing in on technology gadgets and devices like the iPad.

Online gambling website Bookmaker.com has released odds on which retail chain will sell the most iPads.

Best Buy would pay out $17.50 on a $10 bet.  Wal-Mart would pay $12.  Amazon.com would pay out $15 and Apple would pay out $16 for every $10 bet.

Black Friday (sometimes Green Friday) is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.  Today it is synonymous with special sales and promotions that retailers use to encourage shoppers to use the holiday weekend for shopping.

Wal-Mart announced their Black Friday 2010 deals on clothing, toys, and housewares in stores only on midnight of Thanksgiving Day.  Sales of other items begin 5:00 a.m. and go through to 11:00 a.m. on the day of Black Friday this coming November 26.

Best Buy has announced that the so-called “doorbuster deals” will be available come 2 am Black Friday.

Interestingly, Bookmaker.com has not offered odds on retailer TJ Maxx.  That company has stated they will be selling iPads at $100 off this coming Black Friday.
