The Saints vs. Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game is looking like the best of the triple treat we’ll all be enjoying during our feasts.  The Saints-Cowboys spread opened at New Orleans -3.5 on the road against Dallas.  The betting public tended to agree, with more than 90 percent of those on the spread backing New Orleans despite Dallas’ sudden impressive play after starting the season 1-7.  The total in this game was set at 50 with more than 90 percent on the OVER.  Money line action was attracting around 85 percent to the Saints.

Here are some important trends to consider before betting on the Saints vs. Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game:

The Saints are 6-0 Against The Spread in Week 12 and 4-0 ATS during the month of November.  The Cowboys are 15-5 ATS in November.

New Orleans is a very impressive 10-2 ATS in their last 12 road games vs. a team with a losing record.  This is offset a bit by the Saints being 1-6 ATS vs. a team with a losing record overall however.

The Saints are 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games as a favorite of 3.5 to 10.0.  The Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 3.5 to 10.0.

The Saints are only 6-13 ATS in their last 19 vs. the NFC.  The Cowboys are only 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. the NFC.

New Orleans is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games following a Straight Up win.

The Cowboys have played quite well on Thursdays, going 6-0 ATS.

The Cowboys are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

Dallas is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall, but signs from the last two weeks point to this trend potentially changing.
