Titans-Texans Line

The Titans-Texans line opened at -6.5 in favor of Houston with just a half point move to -6 observed during the week.  Even action was observed on the spread in this game.  The OVER 45.5 was getting around 75 percent of the action as was the money line for Tennessee, which would pay out $21 for every $10 bet with a Titans outright win at SBG Global.

There is currently turmoil in Tennessee as quarterback Vince Young had what seemed like another meltdown after Sunday’s loss to the Redskins.

CBS Sports’ Charley Casserly reported this week that Young was about to be offered a $4.25 million roster bonus for 2011, which led to speculation from Mike Florio of NBC Sports Pro Football Talk that the Titans may be looking to ship Head Coach Jeff Fisher out of Tennessee.

Houston has issues of its own.  That franchise’s owner Bob McNair failed to give his head coach, Jeff Kubiak, a vote of confidence this past week, less than a year after giving him a new contract.   Houston was widely regarded as a team with Playoff aspirations this year.  Those hopes are dwindling in a tight division where Houston sits at the bottom with just 4 wins.

We have some important Titans-Texans betting trends below.

Tennessee has covered 6 of the last 8 in this series, though Houston has managed to cover 2 of the last 3.

The Texans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
