Northern Illinois is heavily favored to rout Miami of Ohio on Friday night in the MAC Championship game at Ford Field in Detroit. Northern Illinois is now ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in seven college football seasons. They should stay there as they are expected to have no trouble with Miami.

They got a huge break last week when Ohio lost to Kent and that put the RedHawks into the title game. Miami wins with defense as in their last four games they have held opponents to 11.8 points per game. Miami is in the MAC title game for the first time since 2007 and they last won the title in 2003.
